Putty Sebagai Aplikasi SSH

Putty adalah aplikasi free emulator terminal yang digunakan sebagai protokol untuk SSH,Telnet,Rlogin,Raw,Serial
Nama "Putty" tidak memiliki arti yang pasti, meskipun "tty" adalah nama untuk sebuah terminal dalam tradisi Unix, biasanya diadakan untuk menjadi pendek untuk Teletype.
Putty awalnya ditulis untuk Microsoft Windows, tetapi telah porting ke berbagai sistem operasi lainnya. Port resmi tersedia untuk beberapa platform mirip Unix, dengan bekerja-in-progress port ke Classic Mac OS dan Mac OS X, dan port tidak resmi telah berkontribusi untuk platform seperti Symbian dan Windows Mobile.


Putty ditulis dan dikelola terutama oleh Simon Tatham dan saat ini perangkat lunak beta.

Fitur-fitur Putty:

•     The storing of hosts and preferences for later use.
•     Control over the SSH encryption key and protocol version.
•     Command-line SCP and SFTP clients, called "pscp" and "psftp" respectively.
•     Control over port forwarding with SSH (local, remote or dynamic port forwarding), including built-in handling of X11 forwarding.
•     Emulates most xterm, VT102 control sequences, as well as much of ECMA-48 terminal emulation.
•     IPv6 support.
•     Supports 3DES, AES, Arcfour, Blowfish, DES.
•     Public-key authentication support (no certificate support).
•     Support for local serial port connections.
•     Self-contained executable requires no installation.
•     Supports the zlib@openssh.com delayed compression scheme (As of r9120 2011-03-05).
